This course has a unique style in that you join a class of 2 students learning Russian. You are the third student and you hear the teacher correcting the mistakes of the students. It's a relaxed casual style and easy to learn.
However, the classroom style can be it's downfall. The male student makes many mistakes and it's often annoying to hear him making the same mistake again and again even at the end of the course (although it's comical), but I'm paying for his mistakes and it slows down the progress. Sometimes I'd prefer a straight forward, response after response course which covers a lot more material and I can go at my speed. (StopPress: AudiaLearn Russian, is a new course which does just this). So at the end of the course, it's been an entertaining ride, but it's not as much as you would expect from 8 cds. But it is an enjoyable way of learning.
