This is described by the publishers as a "complete language course", however this is a misnomer and simply is not much more than a glorified audio based vocab list. The "course" comes with a material presentation case, a booklet, and either 3 cds if you have the single level edition or 9 cds if you have the 3 level edition. The levels are divided into topic areas and are the usual areas you would expect - travel, doctor, family, airports etc. The native speaker (a woman) reads the word and then you have the English translation. This continues through the list. The booklet gives you a printed version of the material so you can follow in the book at the same time (obviously not while driving) and also gives some example sentences of the words in use which is nice. Listening to the cds you may find that your concentration will wane after a while, so you should only try to listen to it in short doses.
All in all, a reasonable method of gaining a fairly large vocabularly but you must try and use the words in your own sentences otherwise it will quickly get lost. But it's no where near the results you will achieve using Pimsleur, although the vocab covered with this product is larger. It's an okay resource for building vocab but must be used inconjuction with comprehensive courses to get any real value.
